New bat

Guys has anyone else hit the new bat from Bass we have hit the new bat that Bass Athletics has coming out let me tell you me and some of the guys hit it and this thing is nasty we swing worth bats now and this bat was far better in feel and performance we hit freaking bombs with this bat the only thing we didn't like was the color they said it is going to be pink in color but if it hits like this i dont mind

Aside from your obvious struggles with grammar, allow me to point out something else. We're umpires. We don't care what bat you bring to the batter's box, just as long as it's a legal bat.

This is the point where I thought you were going to mention punctuation ;)

Mike,
He knew it was a ballplayer posting - grammer & punctuation just aren't in the vocabulary.

for the most part umpires dont know the rules most of the time, and they dont know a legal bat from one that legal you say you dont care wait until
someone gets killed then you mite change your mind if you had one

The point is, genius, that you are posting on a forum for umpires. We use this forum to discuss the rules and mechanics of officiating the game of softball. Rarely (ok, ocassionally, no, sometimes :D) do we stray from those subjects.

As was stated above, we don't care about what bat you use or how far it hits the ball, as long as it is legal.

I'm sure that there are several other sites for softball players where your post would be more than welcome.

Wrong area of the 'net for those thoughts, monster. For the most part, the regulars that post here - and many of those posting occassionally - know the rules and their application. As Andy reiterated, we don't care about your bats as long as they are legal.

Heck, not only do the umpires on this board know the rules, as Steve has already alluded, but they also know how to punctuate, capitalize, structure a decent sentence, and perhaps most important, spell.

The "mite" you use refers to a parasite. "Might" would have been the proper spelling to use. Allow me to demonstrate in a sentence.

You might have the brains of a mite since you obviously have no idea where to post your message, and to whom you are currently talking.

I hope that clears it all up for you, though I highly doubt it.

Boy, you are ****ing hillarious!!!

I hope Santa was good to you and left a CLUE in your stocking.

Merry Christmas! Have a safe and happy New Year and good luck in Little League next year.

Well, since the punctuation was non-existent, maybe you need to parse the verbage

you mite change your mind if you had one

as

You, mite, change your mind, if you had one.

But even then, if you don't currently have a mind [to do or not do anything] to change, it might be difficult. That's because "if you had one" implies that you might have lost your mind.

Yup! I'm there...

I wonder if this guy realizes that he inadvertently wandered into a minefield?

Acutally, rather than a player, he sounds like a sales rep for the company. Even more reason he might like to complete 6th grade English. Scott, maybe you could offer to tutor him:D
