Why in the world would this ad be posted on an officials forum? Don't the people that administer this site watch what is advertised on here? Incredible.

Did you see it in Google ads, or was it a spam post on here?

If it was Google ads, then the forum has absolutely no control over that. That is the result of you having the Google ad program running on your computer, probably as a result of have a Google toolbar or something of that nature.

If it was a spammer, there is no way for the admin to stop people from registering as legitimate posters, and then spamming the threads with their crap. They can only remove the posts after they are made. Either way, it is not an administrative/site issue.

Negator, Skeletor. It's something the forum itself put on here.

Let's face it, this is a great forum, but bandwidth and server space ain't cheap. Google Ads help to offset the cost.

I thought that Google ads recognized the content of the site you were visiting, and found content in the form of ads to match it. Oh well...learn something new everyday.

I don't have Google ads running, so I wouldn't know what is being advertised anywhere through them.

Precisely. It recognized baseball/fastball content and thus advertised a bat-rolling/shaving/juicing service.
