That's just poor plate management, a good umpire would have had the inning over in 6 :D

Ref Ump Welsch Mon Jul 27, 2009 01:20pm

You FP folks need to take a lesson from some of us SP folks, we can get an inning done in 3 pitches. :D

I meant in a half-inning...but then again, I do recall several 6 pitch innings in a slow-pitch game. Even easier when it's Texas-style. :D

Assuming batters come to the plate -- 2. That's for a half inning. I suppose it could be done twice and get six outs on 4 pitches. ;)

argodad Mon Jul 27, 2009 02:17pm

My favorite half inning was 3-pitches in a HS JV game, where the pitcher hit the first batter (pitch one). B2 lined into a DP (pitch 2), and B3 grounded out on pitch 3.

SP 1. FP without the tiebreaker, BOO, substitution etc, I'm thinking it can't be done in less than 3.

In Utrip men's class E, this is possible, especially if two of the batters were offensive ejections for hitting over the fence homeruns.

Duke Tue Jul 28, 2009 06:37pm

I'll go with 2 in a half inning in ASA FP. DP with a BOO.

KJUmp Tue Jul 28, 2009 08:20pm

Two.
ASA SP:
B1...Intentional walk
B2...swings at 1st pitch and hits into a DP
B3...swings at 1st pitch and flies out.

3 outs. Two pitches thrown

IRISHMAFIA Tue Jul 28, 2009 08:39pm

ASA SP:
B1...Intentional walk
B3...swings at 1st pitch and hits into a DP
B2 ruled out on BOO appeal

3 outs. One pitch thrown

Dakota Tue Jul 28, 2009 09:40pm

ASA FP. ITB.
B2 line drive to F6 who doubles off R1.
B1 ruled out on BOO appeal.

3 outs, 1 pitch.

NCASAUmp Tue Jul 28, 2009 09:42pm

ASA SP. Three intentional walks, and all three were BOO.

No pitches.

And the question was for a full inning... so BOTH teams would have to be drunk... but wait, they couldn't be, since SOMEONE would have had to have been sober enough to make the appeals! :D

And if the players are drunk enough, they probably wouldn't notice our hitting on those hot girlfriends. :D
