Doing the American / International Schools across the pond and have realised that the latest NFHS Rulebook I have is 2005!!

Does it matter?

You cover my travel expenses and I'll hand deliver it to you. In fact, we could make it an annual event.:):):)

Mate. (Bearing in mind, 90% is Slowpitch (excl Europe T's)
You come over for a week and your flight is paid for, but it is a load of work.
Weekend T = £13.00/game x 15 (8xSat, 7xSun) (1 Hr Time Limit Games) X 2 Weekends = £390.00!

Now how Keen are You!

You do not have enough money to pay me to work that schedule. It is absurd and a complete disservice to the teams.

I quite agree with you, the problem is we have anything from 26 - 48 teams at a Tournament, and have only 12 qualified umpires in the United Kingdom.
Approx 30% of all Tournament are umpired by Players!

Not nice I know, but with the Grassroots program in progress for the Sport, and being sponsored by Sportuk within Schools, we are a little Stuck!!

Well, that sucks! Do you use any US military umpires in your local tournaments?

We used to have plenty around 5 years ago, but they all got deployed state side, or to the East! So now we only have a few, and they work base first, and then try and come help out.

All's good, we'll get they in the end.
Our Youth teams have already in the past 2 years begun coming over to your smaller tournaments, and the Womens fastpitch team is pretty hot in Europe (bearing in mind that anyone with a British connection at College on your side gets to play for GB!!!!)

Ahhhh.....there's the problem. I stopped umpiring slow pitch many years ago.
