Is a ball picked up on the line inside the bases a foul ball? thanks "brain fart"

Ball on the line is fair. Still don't know why it's called a foul line!! :D

Can you give me a Fed rule reference.

With all due respect....if you're an umpire (even a brand new one), that is not a brain fart...that is a serious lack of knowledge of the basic rules of the game. If you are an ump... as suggested, get a rule book at start reading it everyday.
If you are a brand new umpire, get these 3 rules/concepts down pat first:
1) Strike/Ball
2) Fair/Foul
3) Safe/Out
Learn/understand those... all the rest will come later.

Because the ucking fidiots playing the game would not understand the concept of a "fair" line. :rolleyes: :D
