Amen to that! I have a really nice front-loading washer machine that does an excellent job on just about everything. I've thrown down comforters that are dry clean only, and they come out perfectly.

I wash my uniforms separate from the rest of my clothes, and I set the washer to delicate. Never had any problems.

guess i need to stop washing my shin guards with my shirts? :D

Yeah, might be a good idea... ;)

Actually, I wash my shin guards in the sink with a fingernail scrubber. Obviously, I'm referring to the soccer-style.

I "wash" my shin guards with the parking lot pavement or each other... rap them to knock some of the dust off and call it good...

I have hosed them off a time or two, also... :)

I think it depends on how hot it gets where you're at and whether or not you sweat a lot. In NC, it gets pretty darn warm and humid, and I sweat an average amount (maybe on the lower end of the range, but anyway). Either I wash the shin guards, or after a while, they just don't feel right.

I both wash and dry clean my pants. Sometimes its balls to the wall busy and I dont have time to dry clean and I wash em. When I get a lull or if a big deal tourney I dry clean em.

Of course, having more than one pair of slacks helps the busy times. ;)

There is a reason for "dry clean only", washing removes the dressy finish.

*sigh* Unfortunately, there are a couple of umpires in our crew that make all of us wonder whether or not they actually wash their uniforms.
