I didn't mean the OP personally, but if this association is assigning umpires to DIV 1 softball (LSU, etc., are no pushovers...), then I guess I'm surprised at some of the rule "interpretations." But, then, I don't do NCAA, so what do I know?

do they have close relatives in the PNW? extras from Dueling Banjos????and were those close relatives at a meeting for new umpires in Renton, WA on Monday night, even though they are veterans???? I think SRW and I may have met them.

Siiigh. Among things I hate, the ones I hate most are ones trying to get gotchas. If I uck fup, tell me. Otherwise, STFU.

Just venting a little.... sigh... and the "association" I am referring to only does High School and rec. ball. and some of the guys on here that I have worked with can attest to how "rough" I was (and still am at times) coming outta there after 2 years. but thats another story!

and to clarify for whiskers and topper.... i dont work the same assoc. as gene & wayne.. well i mean i do, but just as a "floater" (no, not the kind in yer toilet bowl.. :) ) but my home assoc. is farther east than lake charles.

I wish i was young.... but one good thing... im not as old as whiskers :p (I would add nor as handsome, but that would sound gei :) ) kinda stoked tonight.. did my first JUCO games ..... don't think the visiting coach will be asking for me to come call her home games...that woman was P!SSED. (tying run on third and 2 outs and her batter looks at a fat change-up for strike three) sigh... must called that coz i was in a hurry to get home. (like i haven't heard that one before)

maybe, dont wanna say whom "its an open forum" :)... but I was already alerted that she wasnt as bad as im gonna have in a couple of weeks in my first NCAA series. sigh. (but then again i've been told to watch out for this coach or that coach... and i never had a problem. go figure.)

I must have had her evil twin JC coach sister a while back...her team commits about eight errors in the field, but it's my fault they lost 6-1. :rolleyes:
