I did not think it was bad. My part one score was 97%. Unfortunately, the IHSA will not let me see which ones I missed until March.

It probably means the deadline for everyone submitting their tests has not yet passed. IOW, they aren't giving out the correct answers until everyone has taken the test. At least that is how it works here. Not a big deal.

One of my partners scored a 100% on the NFHS Part One Exam, so now I know which questions I missed. One of the mistakes I made was:

60. Bats made entirely of wood are permitted and need not bear the ASA certification mark.

My answer was false as per 1-5-4: "All bats shall meet the 2004 ASA Bat Performance Standard, bear either the 2000 or 2004 ASA certification mark, and not be on the ASA non - approved list as found on www.asasoftball.com.

Apparently, the correct answer is true. Can anyone provide me with a rule reference or a case play?

Test question has been thrown out in Illinois. If you were lucky enough to get the 2009 Rule Book or look on the NFHS website at the 2009 Copy. There is an exception written for the wood bats.

Thanks. I guess I can chalk this up to the IHSA's every other year B.S. rules book policy.
