right call, I think so

Last night I was sitting in one of our local coffee shops enjoying a coffee and a biscut when 3 gentlemen sat down at the next table, which is basically 2 feet away so I couldn't help but over hear most of there conversation. After a short while one guy asked the other 2 how they fared in their trip to the ball tournaments this past summer in Ohio. When & where I don't know.
Guy "A" started of by saying they had a great time, both facilties were excellent to play on, the umping was good at most times and so on, decent the rest.
Then they started talking about some calls. Now I'm trying to pay attention to my wife and listen to their conversation at the same time, and not piss off the wife.
Here's 1 sit that I got.
Guy A( B1) was up to bat with R1 on 1st. B1 hits a semi looping fly out between center feilder & left feilder, F9 & F7. I'm not sure if you refer to center as F9 or F8 so I'll call him F9. R1 had taken off at the time of pitch and was rounding 2nd when he saw the 3rd base C waving and yelling at him to go back and tag up so R1 stopped turned and headed back to 1st. F9 just then dove for the ball and dropped it. BR saw this and turned on 1st heading for 2nd passing R1 who was heading for 1st. BU pointed at BR, verbalized out for passing R1, BR did not hear this and kept runnig rounding 2nd heading for 3rd. F7 saw this and fired the ball to F5 who tagged BR. According to guy "A" BU then called R1 out for br drawing the throw. Just at this time my better half had to go to the ladies room so as these guys were mulling over this ruling I chymned in saying that that was the right call by the book, referring to our CASA rule book. I'm not sure which rule book this BU was using, you guys have so different books on the go but I think the majority of the rules are the same.
I explained how the rule goes by saying, any runner who has been declared out who draws a throw, then the nearest runner to home is called out.
Just then my wife reappeared and announced it was time to go so like a puppy I followed. ;):p
Well it sounds the guys who umped at these two tournys have some good feedback from some players north of the border so I'll say JOB WELL DONE

Everything sounds right to me, except center fielder is F8 and you should know the wife will get pissed off if your trying to listen to both conversation at once.

And canump will realize that when she comes home with that $2K tennis bracelet? You know, the one she asked about when he was sitting there listening to the softball conversation. ;)
