Need Suggestion

My mask I bought for FP has the vinyl pads which arent going to cut it for me with the summer heat coming up. So I thought I ask is it worth the $$'s to get deerskin or do you guys prefer the suede leather or just plain leather?? Also is it worth just replacing pads or just get the whole thing?

Kinda quiet in here you FED guys must be finishing up...

I have Amora pads that are very nice........but have had doeskin in the past........

Both are much beter than the vinyl.......

I think there are two mask types.........so you may want to have your mask handy when you purchase the new ones so you know they will fit correctly.

Joel

Also......Hey Gary......is your daughters team still in the hunt??

Glen,
I use the doe skin on a +pos SUL. Nice combo, but a bit pricey. (usually on sale during December) Pads don't absorb moisture, and wipe clean easily.

Joel,

Plano East got knocked out by Bryan in the regional semifinals. Tough game - had their chances - etc. Bryan is the best HS team I have seen this year. Their only downfall will be if the pitcher doesn't hold up. She doens't have overpowering speed but changes speeds nicely. Tremendous defense, excellent offense plus a VERY intense coach.

Daughter had a good season - made 2nd team all district at second base.

Don,

I got my replacement pads from the ASA Official Gear website. They are called Tamara leather and have a suede feel - don't sweat like the vinyl and some leathers.

I just ordered a new +pos SUL mask with the micro fiber pads. Used a buddy's and really liked it.

Don,

I also use the +POS SUL with doe skin. Excellent combo.
I just replaced the pads first of this week...Just under
$50.00 for replacement pads. Roger is correct though, in
December masks and pads on sale...

Gary,

Your right, the micro fiber is alright, but I just replaced
mine with doe skin....will let you know which I think are
the best....but you can't beat the mask. Lightweight & good
visibility....Also get the sun shield. Good day or night.

BTW, Sorry to see that your DD team lost, but it was to a
good team..Maybe next year...
