I've got a friend who umpires Little League, and he firmly believes the plane took off before the ball reached home plate. Since the batter did not put the ball in play, the plane would have to return to the air space occupied at the time of the pitch.

However, there is a question about the pilot's birth certificate. He was either over age or from Oklahoma -- in either case he would be ineligible.
