For which game?

Some at the car, some in a locker room, some in a field house, and some (colleges mostly) a dedicated umpires room.

I never dress at home though.

I guess this poll should be multiple choice.

I also would have to choose A, B, and D. C is not an option, period.

Not C
But, depending on what the level is, any of the others.

Well...apparently for two people "c" is an option.

Here in the Neth.'s there's no other option than a). All clubs MUST have a lockerroom for the umpires...

To me, the only logical answer is "other".

We would all love to have a locker room available, but that isn't always going to happen.

And we would all love to routinely go from our home and walk on the field to start the game, but that isn't always going to happen. Same with our place of employment (real job).

Some of our cars ARE the locker room and dressing there is not unusual, but it isn't the preferred location and sometime, far too open to the public.

Umpires get dressed in the location which provide the most comfort and ease available to them at that point in time. I believe that is the only real answer.

I really don't see the big problem with rare times to change at home. I live less than 1 mile from where or HS team and local association teams play. I have dressed at home and drove the 2 minute drive to the field. Between games I change at my car. For those of you who say this is a no-no, would it be ok to drive home the same distance without changing, after you are done for the day? I am sure I will get hammered on this board for acting such. Dave

No choice for

E: In the middle of the pitcher's circle?

Sure would get some attention.
