No, it is not a stretch. It happens.

Listen, you troll parent.. pretending to be an umpire.

Dont pretend to be a coach too. Leave the coaching of players to the real coaches and you sit in the stands stuffing your hotdog down your throat.

Of course, you completely invented that; invented that term in applying it to a defensive player, and invented the effect... but you wouldnt know that because you have never ever picked up a rule book.

The ignore feature is garbage.. it says "you cant read this because poosey is on your ignore list"

Thats almost as lame as you pretending to be an umpire, so I took you off ignore.

What is this "purposeful distraction" of which you speak. Is it the F2 greeting the batter when he steps in the box? Or, is it him asking about the wife and kids while the first pitch is being delivered? Or, say in the case of the batter being a lawyer in his daytime job, F2 asking F1 "what is the difference between a dead skunk in the road and a dead lawyer?" (Of course, the response would be "there are swerve marks around the skunk.") Is it singing "Texas, Oh Texas," during the entire at bat? Is it directly addressing the batter at anytime during the at bat?? What is this "purposeful distraction?" Please, clearly define it so that we will all know it when we see it.

He has issues. However, we have all learned to embrace them on this board. :D

Since we're mostly guys on this board, could we get away with a "group chuck on the shoulder?"

Thanks guys. As I suspected ..... nothing on "interference" persay. Nothing on obstruction either. If anything, it would be USC if it really got to be too much, and that would have to be a pretty severe "yapping" at the batter to the point of "yelling or name calling" IMHO....or if the catcher and batter started having words with each other....then it could be stopped w/o an ejection. Nice to see that my thinking isn't out of line with most ..... get over the chatter and hit that 8 MPH fastball.

I've seen some pitchers get that ball screaming as fast as 9 or 10 MPH.
