NCAA Supers

Did anyone else think the guy working the Scissors was just awkward? The way he had to stand up and signal? his ZONE? just wondering...

I believe the Ariz. st. and North western... his zone was inconsistent and he just looked uncomfortable and awkward

You may be referencing different umpires.

The umpire I saw doing the scissors, Willie Newman, called Oklahoma vs. Arizona. He will be calling the WCWS again this year.

Tom Topping was at Arizona State vs. Northwestern; he is also doing the WCWS again this year. I haven't seen Tom do a scissors; guess I need to watch another replay.

Youre exactly right it was willie newman I got confused btwn ariz. and ariz.st.

etheir that or he ran for mayor and won.... I do agree he must not of f'd up to bad to be there but that scissors stance was awkward and the zone he had in that game looked like a bubble in a lava lamp not the NCAA zone...
