Interference at 2nd Base
NSA sanctioned slow pitch. R1 on second R2 on first no outs. Batter hits a grounder to 3rd baseman who throws to second for the out and interference is called on the runner preventing the throw to first. My question is in the adminstration of this rule.

Obviously, r2 is out at second but is the batter out at first or is r1 removed from third and the batter left on first.

Speaking ASA, I don't do NSA. "When, after being declared out or after scoring, an offensive player interferes with a defensive player's opportunity to make a play on another runner." Effect: The ball is dead. The runner closest to home plate at the time of the interference is out. All runners not out must return to the last base touched at the time of the interference. 8-7-P
