It's all a matter of preference, I guess. I prefer to not run the risk of having someone make a comment about my "socks," even though they're actually the shin guards.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Shhhhhh......don't give them any ideas!

When I first heard about the ASA pants requirement and that there had been discussion about putting the ASA logo on the pants, I suggested that they put it right across the a$$.....just like those girls shorts that have "softball" across the butt......

I call SP only, and I have 3 pairs of base pants. I wear shinguards underneath (which came in handy a half dozen times tonight), and there's more than enough room for them in the pant legs.

Yeah, mine are the soccer shin guards, courtesy of the soccer section at Dick's Sporting Goods.

And as for the New Balance 350s, Honig's has them in "solid" black. They still have a little grey on the back of the sole, but it's considerably less to black out. They also have them in EE for the same price as the regular width ($62.95). Seems to be the going rate, plus or minus a dollar or three.

They don't have the 450s in "solid" black.

Well this really bites! I've always worn Spot-Bilts. Guess I better buy me a pair of base shoes now while they may still be available. From what I hear, may start having to check out the New Balance array.

BTW, where can this Mexican buy a pair of "Cinco de Mayo" shoes??

Esos son los zapatos negros que se usan los mariachis. El estilo es barato, pero al menos esos zapatos no tienen otros colores, y no se necesita un "Sharpie" como los de "Spot-Bilt."
