Clasp broken on ASA pants

Dang am I mad, as in angry not as in insane.

ASA "approved" pants -- $47
Alterations -- $12
Knowing that if I get the call for a National tournament I'll be properly attired with pants that have a broken slide clasp -- Priceless

Between last year and this year I bought a total of six new pants from ASA; a blue base, a blue plate, 2 gray base, and 2 gray plate. All six have had some kind of slide clasp failure. ALL SIX! On the blue plate I actually had to have a guy with a pair of pliers pry the clasp apart so I could change. "Hi, I'm your partner for this game, can you pry my pants apart so I can change?" Let me tell you that makes a first impression when you work with a guy for the first time.

These pants look good, but they are not built so well. Any of you guys have similar problems?

Nope, the only problem I have had is my closet lights tend to shrink my ASA pants terrbily! I mean at least 1 size over the winter. Other than that and a few torn crotches I have not had any issues with mine....

The "ASA" pants are Fechheimers, which has a high quality reputation. You may want to take your complaint to Fechheimer.

The metal slide broke on my base pants. My wife took the hook part out, made a button hole and sewed on a button. Problem solved.

Dave:

I have the same problem too, but my better half tells me it is not the closet light but I eat too much and don't exercise enough. :D

Then you need to excercise more. I suggest the 12 oz curls as a good starting place! :D

If you keep all that food and booze away from those closet lights, all your clothes will have a longer lifespan.:D
