"The Basiles, who couldn't be reached for comment Thursday, were arrested and each charged with a misdemeanor count of third-degree assault. They were later released without bail, pending an Oct. 31 court hearing."

I don't know New York law, but misdemeanor third-degree assault sounds like what you would get for stepping on someone's toes. This was a premeditated attack, two-on-one, that continued after the coach was unconcious on the ground. They should be in jail for a long time.

And as far as the kid, it's not hard to see why an 11-year-old would have a behavior problem considering the family he has grown up in.

The most relevant, most important comment that I remember.

I cannot believe that these two idiots are not being charged with Felonious Assault. These jokers need to be made an example of. Its seems apparent that the legal system STILL doesn't find this type of attack to be of a seroius nature.
