Can the Pac 10 do it again?

I have been glued to the tube watching the Softball World Series. I think the officials are much better this year than last. No, I can't remember any one thing I didn't like about last year, but I do remember some of the umpires appeared to be out of place for a D1 championship. BUT NOT this year! The baseball guys are commenting on the robotic calls by the umpires. I don't see it that way, but a uniform way to make a call while remaining an impartial observer. I do like some of the called strike three calls, but for me my call is very much more subdued.

GOOD JOB BLUES!

Sure can, but I hope not!

GO SEC!!! (and War Eagles anyway!)

Should be a good finish, and there has been much more interest in fastpitch softball due to the coverage of the WCWS. I'm glad to see that.

I think the umpiring has been as good as most MLB games I have seen lately. I still think the winning run in game two was an out though. Even on the replay I didn't see a plate touch, and even if she got it, thought the tag came first! I also didn't have the position the PU had, and didn't see any arguements from the TN staff.

Good luck to both teams, their play has given us all a boost!

It was a good series. I thought the same thing about the
run in game #2, but as we all know-- things look a lot differently on TV.
It might just be me, but I thought the plate umpire last night was a little
erratic with the strike zone. A few of the TV shots of the AZ pitcher made it seem that she was questioning some pitches.
All in all, a class act from teams, coaches, fans, and umps.
