Third Strike on Batter

If a batter strikes out and head towards the dugout after the catcher misses the ball and it goes to the backstop, how far can the batter go before you call her out.

As long as she does not go into dead ball territory--she may still
try to get to 1st base. "She gave up" is really not a rule.

In NCAA, NFHS, ASA, and USSSA, she must leave the playing field before she can be called out.
