DeMarini Bats

Have been having some trouble finding Model numbers on some of the Demarini bats. Have been able to use the description but don't find a Model number. Must a bat have a Model number on it to be used?

No, of course not. Now, to be legal, that is another matter! :D

On the approved list DeMarini is the only company that does not have Model numbers. How are we to approve them without a Model Number? Can we use the description?

Actually, on the approved list, there are alphanumeric models noted.

On the non-approved list, only the model name is listed.

What I am saying is DeMarini has bats with no Alphanumeric Model numbers listed on the approved list, EVO Fastpitch (Blue) & F2-2003 (Red). Also some of their bats (Rayzr, FLI, Double Wall) don't have the Model number listed on the approved list marked on the bat. Again can we use the discription to approve these bats?

I wouldn't know why not. That's sort of like the Worth Wicked (SP Only) which has been added to the Non-approved list. There are multiple Wickeds, but one doesn't have anything, but "Wicked". As far as I'm concerned, if the words on the bat match those on the list (with no additional markings/model numbers), they are one in the same.

That's why I like the list with the purty little pictures. Gives me something else to consider when I say "no, Ms. JV Coach, your girls cannot use that bat, I don't care if it DOES have two pieces of tape on it...it's not staying in the dugout." (Other than that, my day went terrific. Oh, wait, I also told her if I had another of her team's games she better be wearing something besides Levi's.)

You mean all she had on was Levi's? :p

And probably a ski jacket. After all, we're talking the Seattle area. My DD (who played almost all of her softball on the Gulf Coast) says she freezes when she's at the field as the athletic trainer in Redmond.

It ain't that cold here... sheesh. It's 57 right now, overcast with a slight wind. Last night at my 7pm 4A varsity game (which lasted 65 minutes, thank.you.very.much!) I had to take my pullover off because I was too warm... and even then it was only 55 degrees!

Larry, you are absolutely correct! Ski jacket AND Levi's. Now, the Levi's didn't look bad, mind you, but still...no blue jeans, pleeez.

BTW, looked for your daughter the other day and missed her...can't figure why she didn't go to the game at Inglemoor...which Remond won. Just so ya know, Kingco 4A may be about a six way tie...at least this year 3 teams go to state.
