I have never heard this before. Heck, in Texas, after May, you will see large jugs of ice water on the field with umpires. I even take a small cooler bag that holds about 6 or so Propels and ice packs with me.

Weakness, at least on the mental front, is not keeping yourself hydrated in the summer months, or any other time for that matter.

Scott, I kid you not, back in the olden days in the TX Panhandle there was NFW you would have water on the field.

More than a few...didn't take too many years before they figured it was better for the game to have some hydration.
