Happy happy joy joy!!!

Well....winter has actually made its way to North Texas. Temps are supposed to drop into the low 20's to upper teens tonight (-3 to -8 C), with snow and sleet on the way. The warmest it is going to be over the next three to four days is maybe in the 40's(4-7 C). And yes, you guessed it. I have a tournament to work this weekend. Good thing that I have the cold weather gear out and ready to go!!!

You never want to complain about weather and try to make the case that the 40's is cold.

Low here last night was 5 above. High today expected: 18. Highest temperature in the 7 day forecast: 27. And we don't consider that especially cold. We just have the good sense to take our softball indoors.

I would like some of your snow, though. Pretty dry here.

For those of you under the influence of the frogs: C = (F-32)*(5/9). Do the math. ;)

The forties are cold when you are used to average winter temps in the mid 50 range. Actually, the high today was just at freezing. Currently 25 and dropping. Though I know that that is nothing to you "snowers," I am freezing my (bleeps) off and am not really relishing being on the field at 9 on Saturday when the temp is forecasted to be right around 25. Heck...I may actually have to mothball my shorts and t-shirts for a couple of weeks. :D

I think the high here reached +7 degrees fahrenheit. Last night, wind chills were below zero and a few days ago, we had a wind chill advisory. Wind chills got below -25 degrees fahrenheit. If it were in the 40's, I'd be in shorts and a t-shirt.

work six 14U ASA games yesterday in North Central Texas -- 8AM game was cold, started at about 30F ... last one at 6:30 started getting really cold again --- high was mid-40s, not much wind ---- very conmortable considering its December :D

I'll have games like that, too, but not until May.
