Stealing on a Walk in ASA slowpitch

Last weekend, in a GRPA slow pitch tournament playing ASA rules, we had the following situation.

Runner on 2B, batter gets a walk. While catcher is holding the ball and jawing with his teammates, runner steals 3B.

Defensive team argues that "you can't steal on a walk, ball is dead, etc., etc." Confer with my partner and allow the SB. Checked the rule book after the game but couldn't find anything. Is there a rule?

Haven't had to deal much with stealing this year, did I mention we use pitching screens?

Y'all were pro'lly right, though could have been wrong!

Read 8-1-C-2 ( and EXCEPTION) That should clear it up for you.

When a base on balls is awarded in SP with stealing, the ball is not dead unless there was a reason other than the award itself causes it to be so.

Then again, I certainly hoped R1 moved up to 3B :)
