Foul Balls?

I know this type of thing doesn't happen very often...I was watching a LL majors game and it just wasn't this little girls day in the box. first pitch is low and inside...she jumps back to avoid getting hit. The next pitch is high and inside and she ducks down to avoid and the ball hits her flailing bat. Count 1-1. The next pitch is allmost an exact repete, she ducks the inside pitch and it tags her bat. Count 1-2. The last pitch hits the inside corner, she flinches on the called third strike. It was sad to watch. But it made us wonder if there was ever a sitch where a pitched ball could make contact with the bat and not be a strike? CI certainly, but any others?

If it hit's the bat and goes fair, that wouldn't be a strike. Or it is caught by the catcher or any other defender, that would be an out.

You are of course correct with the ball being hit fair or a caught fair/foul ball, we were trying to think more in lines of special sitchs'. IP would also remove the strike...any others?

If she doesn't offer at the pitch, and it hits her BEFORE contacting the bat, HBP.

If it goes foul with a x-2 count.

Obvious answer, when it is a fair batted ball.
