I've not found that FP games typically last "so long".

Depends on the umpiring..

Some umpires like to lag around between innning, bs with parents or coaches or whatever. Let batters wander up to talk to their coaches.. all this different stuff.

You set the hustle pace and control that proactively throughout the entire game and the game gets done..

You waste 2-3 minutes per half-inning BSing, waiting to see if a pitcher is going to try to pick off a runner standing on a bag, waiting on this or that.. and yep.. FP games are LOTS longer.

It doesnt have to be though

You have the power, use your power for good... get that game done.

Yes, but that only works if F2 gets on base. If F2's the 3rd out, then there's a lag...

Actually, it is my experience, Mike, that coaches only mess with CR for the catcher when the catcher is a slow baserunner. They use the rule as a cheap offensive sub rather than to speed up the game.
