Gary, I cannot find anything that says anything
one way or the other. You say posted on the
internet. Posted to whom are what site? For
what purpose was it posted? To be reviewed by
individuals such as are on this Forum? If so,
from what I have found out, you could not have
ask at a better site. Come to Gary's aide guys.;)

We have a league site where we have a forum for the players just like this one. Before the league officials were presented the protest the player or manager from the protesting team place it in the forum for the whole league to see.

Gary,
I'm assuming that this is ASA and in the rule book - think it's Rule 9, Section 5 or 6 - it tells you what must be filed with the protest and that it must be filed in a "timely" manner. In tournaments, this means before anoter pitch is thrown - we get it ruled on & fixed. In league play - "timely" is defined by the individual league, but generally I've found that it means within 48 hours. Your league game is not considered championship play, so whatever your league decides on this is fine. My own opinion is that posting the details of the protest on a discussion board is not appropriate (legal but not approprite) - it's either an attempt to maybe save the protest fee or to embarrass the umps who were involved.

Yo Gary,
What happened with this protest? Did they file and did a ruling get made?
