Seeing some of the posts above, the coaches are not listening....:D

And possibily a couple of umpires......

And...there are 3,000 references to a "clicker," whatever that is.

I DO own a clicker. In fact, 3 of them. They came with the original "home" version of Jeopardy from back in the 1960s (yes, I was a nerd).

I just have the ones I stole from the nuns when in parochial school :eek:

Did they click them before or after they sternly quoth, "Michael, turn around and shut up!"?

No, the clickers were for signals when in a procession, assembly, church, etc. The nuns used erasers the "turn around and shut up" attention-getter.

The best of the "attention-getters" was the ruler on the plams of the hands just as fast as they could swing it.

Went to parochial school, also. Had a male lay teacher who would walk around the class with a golf ball. You better pay attention or you'd soon have a knot on your head.

I made it very clear to all principals when my kids were in school that I would not hesitate charge battery if anyone at the school struck or ... them.
