Does anyone have a recomendation for plate shoes? I wear a EEEE width. I can't get into Tanels. I used to buy Honigs, but the new model isn't wide enough. I heard from a supplier the NB plate shoes have a manufact defect. I can't be the only umpire with wide feet?

Try Gerry Davis Sports. They sell good plate shoes.

Tried them. NCAA frowns on patent leather. They don't have any wide shoes in regular leather.

:) But if that won't do...

For the past five or six years, I have only used steel toed safety "tennis shoes" from Walmart. With these I have to use an instep attachment on my shin guard. I don't know how NCAA would view this.

In the past, I have also had luck at a local safety shoe company.
