Was asked to do 14-16U qualifier for AFA(American
Fastpitch Association). Tournament being held
about 90 miles from my residence. On trip over
something flies out of the back of a pickup, hits
my windshield like a bullet and shatters it.
Put stuff in umpires room which tournament director
assures us is safe. Doing plate, so have all my
expensive gear on. Rite we come back to swap over,
cell phones and some of the other guys plate gear
missing. One of the guys wants to use my car to
rest in (seats recline all the way down) listens to
radio leaves it on locks door with keys inside.
Cant open outside combo, battery dead, call locksmith
$45.00 , he paid.

All games went well that is until the last one, it
ITB - three extra innings.

Little Blue Guy........

Were you in Pasadena this weekend??

Anyway......I digress.......your bad day sounds like one of my typical ones lately..........(grin)

I have found the AFA guys around here to be exceptionally good umpires (every one are senior ASA guys).......

However.........was in another State a few years ago for an AFA National with my oldest and the blues were less than exemplary.........

I hope with all the National tournaments that ASA is hosting now.......we don't have the same problem.

Joel
