My ruling is no home run, play on.

The reason for my ruling is such, the front of the fence defines the "dead-ball line" for the outfield. If the ball bounced back into the field of play, then it must have hit the "front" of the fence and therefore never entered DBT, so no homerun.

Unless there is a definative line or something painted on the fence.........I have got a live ball........of course my FED books are at the office.........(moan)

If the ball stayed in the park, it probably didn't hit the top of the fence. It may have hit the top of the inside of the fence, by not the plane of the fence which runs parallel to the ground.

Bottom line is the ball never left playable territory, therefore it live and in play.
