Well...............
I am off to our corporate office in Ft. Worth to work in preparedness of the possible storm here on the Gulf Coast. We are recalling 58 employees who are helping restore power in Louisiana and Mississippi. They mostly came from our West Texas and New Mexico offices. All of our Gulf Coast Lineman/ET's are geared up to restore power here.........say a prayer for them.......... Family is taken care of and I am out of here........... I wish anyone else in the possible path good luck...... Joel |
Maybe, just maybe - the several months of snow & too cold to be on a field up here aren't that bad........

I have a house full coming in from Houston. They were living in areas that
were told to evacuate. We will probably get plenty of rain where I am located, but I don't think much more. Never know about the storms that brew off a hurricane. I have gased the camper, checked the generator, all lights and A/C. Everything is looking good. Good luck to the ones in the direct path. Rachel, Kandice has gone to SA to stay with Jane. |
That's good to know, I was thinking about that . I lived in Houston during hurricane Alicia ('84?). We had water up to our door and water coming in through a leaking roof. Best of luck to everyone down there I'll be watching and praying for you.

If this baby stays together and heads like it is, it is going to cause major, major damage.
Electricity will be out for days, maybe even weeks. Should not have the water that New Orleans had, but it will be bad. All the La. people they moved to Houston are now having to move to another city. Huntsville and San Antonio mostly. t'aint looking good. Damn, they cancelled my tournament. :D |

Mike,
I am referring to rain. Last hurrican that hit Houston dropped 11 inches on us. If water from the ocean gets here, No one has a chance. |

latest track of Rita has a lot of it going towards you. Best of luck. Glad that Kandice is in SA w/Jane. Haven't heard about Rodney, Rodney S., etc. Others I know who live on the north side of Houston say they are staying, but the pics of I-45 are incredible with the traffic. At least these people are getting out. I guess we learned something from Katrina. Still concerned about you. The storm seems to be tracking slightly eastward from Galveston. Are you still staying or are you leaving also? Larry |
Glen - and others in threatened areas - His blessings to ya.
And, as a TV show used to say - "y'all come back now, he-ah?" |
Has anyone heard from Glen? The last I heard from him, he was staying in Beaumont, but that was before they forecasted Rita turning and hitting the Beaumont-Port Arthur area. I've heard nothing since.

Glen...Glen... Hello, I know you are busy but let us know how it's going?
