Hello All,
I am currently an ASA Umpire out of New Jersey. I just moved to PA and am interested in taking the NFHS Softball Umpires exam. Would anyone know the differences between ASA and NFHS Softball rules? Thanks.... |
Thsi is usually considered the best source:
http://www.cactusumpires.com/pages/s...chor%20bennett ASA (I think) also publishes a list in the spring. The ASA and NFHS web sites have had it at times, but not always. |
Speaking of next spring, my participation will be "off-season sporadic" for the next few months. Hope you folks can resolve all the rules, cleanup the books, and educate all the coaches in the meantime. ;)

Hello Steve M,
I now live in the Easton Area (Northamption County). I was told by a basketball official that taking the PIAA exam would be a great start to be a PA umpire. Would you know the PA process? Thanks for any insight you can provide. |
Yes, I'd suggest that you start with the PIAA site - piaa.org
I'll look at my list & see who I know in that area. |
Irishmafia posted this a while back, it's pretty neat.

Thanks a lot JEL (and Irishmafia)! This is perfect... A very knowledgeable and dedicated individual must have put this together. |
Don't give Mike the "big head".
However, you will find that he fits the discription of both "dedicated" and "knowledgeable". Did I say that! |
