That's the translation of someone 2 years removed from 4 years of high school spanish. I think i'm close. :)

I think this guy has deeper issues than being a horses ***...although being a horses as MAY BE one of his deep issues..... :-)

Just read in our local newspaper that this umpire was banned by LL from calling games for the remainder of the tourney which ends Aug 28th.

Seems that you still have retained much of that HS Spanish.

Try to imagine how many times I should 'ban' foreign language on an italian softball field....
In our national league there are several foreign players and coaches (USA, Canada, Australia, Czech Republic, etc.) and they often speak to each other in a language that CAN'T be italian...

And much more than this: right now there's a European Championship playing (Female Fastpitch) with teams from (not in alphabetic order)
Belgium, Croatia, Czech Rep., Germany, Great Britain, Greece, The Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Israel, Slovakia, Ukraine.
You can easily imagine there are at least 18 (YES: eighteen) different languages on those fields!
How the umpires over there (Prague, Czech Rep.) should manage this????

I count 17 languages: belgium speak dutch and/or french, In Austria german and in the Ukraine they speak (I believe) russian...
Shouldn't they all speak the queens-english? That's what the US-ump. wanted afterall, fair or unfair...
BTW,
does the Italian-team do well? I'm hoping the dutch will meet them in the final...

Languages are 18 because Ukraine has its own language. Very close to russian, but still different - as much as czech is different from slovak though very very similar!

BTW that umpire really show to the world he/she was not in control of that game (show to the world how NOT self-confident he/she was)! Just my opinion: you CAN control a game even if you don't understand what people around you are saying. And - as an umpire - you have to accept the fact people around you could tell/do/act thing you cannot understand. Games are for players/coaches etc. We are just in there to let the game flow according rules of softball and sportsmanlike conduct.

That was very good!!! Actually, I have caught players speaking Spanish (imagine that!!!), and the look on their faces when I talk to them in Spanish. But, I have never heard anything deragotory comment in Spanish.

Guess this umpire shouldn't be in a Little League "World Series", huh? (Threw that in for you Mike. LOL)

How true! I guess we all think that US-ump. made himself (and worse: all of us, umpires all over the world) look like a fool!!!

I really don't know how the baseball-final ended, by your remarks I think the Neth.'s won. I never cared much about baseball and I was on vacation in Danmark and Germany. Never read a newspaper nor listen to radio/TV on vacation.
Just learned the dutch lost against Greece; a team full with USA-girls with double nationality.
The dutch-team ain't that strong anymore since the older girls quit playing for the national team. A lot younger girls (or am I getting old?) are now playing. A final with the dutch is wishfull-thinking, but the tournament is still young. Let us see what the teams will do. As long as they enjoy the game, we will be there to work the games and share the fun!!!

Using this same logic, the ump should also have banned both 3rd base coaches from sending signals to their players...
