Learned at 4 p.m. today that my youngest's game today had been rescheduled (for a later date) and my oldest's game tommorow had also been canceled because of a school function.
Argggggghhhhhhh........could have called tonight and tommorow. Oh well.......I did get to help the oldest's team with practice tonight......not a total loss.........I still like whacking fly balls...........(grin). Hmmmmmmmmm......MAYBE I can get in for tommorow somewhere? Oh well........as they say......."them's the breaks" Joel [Edited by Gulf Coast Blue on Apr 9th, 2001 at 08:28 PM]

Just a little Dad advice enjoy them great days playing ball with kids while they still will play with you umpiring will be around for a long time to come From an old fart who kids are all grown up Don

Don........
I try to never call when one of my daughters is playing. Sometimes I will if it is to really help out the scheduler. I did get to be a last minute "life-saver" for tonight to call with a rookie who's partner won't be there. I still enjoy helping at practices with the girls........I just got burnt out on coaching almost year round (I still coach soccer). I have maybe missed a couple of dozen or so of the 1000's of functions that my girls are involved in. Having lost my Dad when I was 13, I know how much I missed not having him there when I was involved in sports. Joel

But sometimes want to strangle em.........(grin) Got home to find out the oldest can't find her choir shirt for contests tomorrow. Gotta go buy a white tuxedo shirt for her during lunch tomorrow.......I wish I knew where kids clothes disappear to sometimes....... 2 for 2 tonight.......no probs again........except for my strikezone......but that is another post.
