In about one year, My wife and I are planning on spending about 3 months in Texas from January to March in Donna Texas. Can any Texas umpires can tell me if their are any ASA softball games close by.

mccan,
The only time softball shuts down in Texas, is around Christmas, when it rains, or snows, (ha, never had a game cancelled because of snow.) Where is Donna, Tx. located? Too lazy to look it up. But yes, there would be some kind of softball going on. NFHS states in Feb. AFA Tournaments began in Jan. glen |
Got curious, looked it up. McAllen, Harlinger, Edinburg or you could go Kingsville or
Corpus Christi. You are barely in Texas when in Donna. On Mexico bordor. :D |

You are mainly going to have High School games going on during the time of year you will be here. I would suggest joining the local H.S. Association in that area. There might be some 10, 12 or 14 age groups going but you would have more luck with High School ball |
Texas umpires
Dakota. I live in West Central Il in Macomb, Il.

mccann - If you ever want to spend a winter in Phoenix, we can put you to work, too. Lots of HS in March and a few ASA and Triple Crown tourneys also.
We have a few guys that are "winter visitors" that call HS ball with us. |
What Andy Said..we will give you PLENTY of work out here in the winter....
