I fold mine in the manner described above, and not only iron but also just a little bit of starch. Don't overstarch or you will need to buy a new cap (or put up with crap from everyone because you have these white lines all over the place!)
And even with protection, the plastic thingys on the New Era cap do drive me nuts. However, I spend a couple minutes with fingernail clippers and take out the annoying plastic thingys. While I'm thinking about it...I not only wash 'em in the wash with everything else, but usually fold 'em after the wash and fling 'em in the dryer with everything else. |

Very cool
I have pirated (from my work...don't worry, I'll pay em back) those big honkin black clips for my caps. Personally feel they work better than the rubber bands.
