Is there a guide "Softball For Dummies" where one can get an idea of the rotation of umpires (Two Person Mech) on various play sitchs.
My partner (BU), last night, had commented in the pre-game about who was to cover what bases when... In the post-game, he suggested that I should have moved down the third base line farther to get a better look at 3B tags. There were no close calls at 3B but, on the ones that did occur, he suggested that I should have been a lot closer and had there been a play at home he would have rotated down to cover it... TIA

The ASA rule book, "Umpires Edition" covers 1, 2, 3, and 4 man mechanics. It will answer most any question you have.
