SRW Who's Bob? 😉 Situation: Bases empty. 3-1 count. Pitch comes in low, bounces before the plate, hits the catcher's shin guard, and rolls into the dugout, out of play. Where do you place the batter-runner? And why? ASA rules.
DaveASA/FED I don't know BOB, but I would have B-R on 1st. If I remember correctly it is 1 base from the time of the pitch if the ball is thrown from the mound. Since the B-R was still a batter at the TOP she does not get an additional base only 1st awarded as a result of ball 4.

I understand and comprehend your want and desire to stop and squelch redundancies and restatements 🙂 but if there's a mound on the softball field, we might need to get the ground's crew.
