Bang-Bang Rule:

Defense makes a clean pickup, throw, and catch - runner OUT. What if F3"s foot off the base?

Defense bobbles the pickup, muffs the throw, or pulls F3 - runner SAFE. What if runner overruns 1B and the
defense appeals?

MOST OF ALL BE CONSISTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Agree.
SELL YOUR BANG BANG CALLS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also
HAVE FUN!

And here I thought we were umpires, not ice skating judges.

MAKE THE CALL that is the result of the play, not based on the play itself.

I agree Mike. I despise the "Reward the good play" philosophy. Out is out. Safe is safe. Positioning is everything.

Agree...what do you do if they both make a great effort.

Batter hits a ball into the hole at short, short makes a great pick-up and throw, batter is busting his a$$ down the line the whole time. Who do you reward?? Both showed excellent effort.

Just call what you see...not what is expected.
