What is the most aggrivating sitch for you guys? Maybe its flies and gnats during a game or a three year old behind home plate playing with a noisy toy. Time to vent a little.

For me its that guy thats in right field who comes by every inning with those
comments about every call; even balls and strikes he can see from right field.
I feel better already.

Funny, I find that I don't get as aggravated at coaches as I do with fellow umpires who don't know the rules. Especially rules I specifically have talked about in clinics or one-on-one. D3K on a bounced pitch the catcher fields cleanly gets screwed up at least once a year. BOO gets screwed up at least once a year. Orange-bag/white-bag seems to come up a couple times a year. And OBS STILL gets screwed up at least once a week. Plus the occasional completely made up rule I get to hear about (the last was that on a D3K, "any hesitation by the batter and she's out." The one before that was at 10U where we don't allow stealing of home, on an overthrow of 1st base, R1 (originally on 2nd) was not allowed to "steal" home on the overthrow. AAArghhhh!)

I need to clone myself, or better yet, stick to scheduling and hire 6 of you guys who actually care enough to study your craft.

Great post rh!

Other than that time the pitcher gave me a skank-eye for calling "Ball" on a pitch that hit the plate (SP), right after he had asked me what the "Infield Fly Rule" was!!, I haven't been doing this long enough to be aggrivated at anyone more than myself!!!

Right now "Just Get Me Threw This Game" is how I feel towards the end of a 3 game set where I feel 100% confortable with my calls. I think, "just get me threw this last game and I got it made!" But nooo, every time, I end up with something that bugs me till the next game. (The last time was in game 3 of 3 in the 5th inning!!! I was 2 innings away)

On the flip side, those are the sitches I pick apart for days and never get wrong again! =)
