I just joined a softball team and never played before. I have played baseball and use to watch all the time but never played for team. At our first practice, they were telling us to always get the ball to 1st no matter how much time has past. Is this something that is usually done all the time or were they just having us practice? I have asked a friend how plays baseball and he has no clue if this is a regular thing. I looked up the rules but couldnt really find anything. Let me know what you think.
