Still no high school ball, yet - but I got another couple of college games in. We worked without jackets for the first time this year - it really felt good to work up a sweat in warm weather.
3 illegal pitches and I had to give my first rounding/returning obstruction warning yesterday.

Sounds like you had a heat wave.
Having to call OBS has really slowed down around here. They are finally learning, No ball, stay out of the way.

I was at my game site yesterday, already walked the field and visited with both coaches. Beautiful Spring day, with the temps in the upper 70's. I walked back to the van to make sure that both sets of shoes were cleaned and shined, and to start getting ready. Out of nowhere, the sky turns black, a couple of flashes of lightning, and the skies open up, complete with dime sized hail. Within minutes the field is flooded, and the coaches make the decision to call the games off. The whole storm lasts maybe 15-20 minutes, and then blows off and the sky once again clears. As the last couple of drops of rain are falling, my partner arrives wondering where everyone is.
Sigh....Springtime in Texas.

FHSAA season here--
worked 11 games, had 4 rain outs (rain outs very rare here)-- probably work another 10 before I'm done. Still having fun !!

We are on the downhill slide for the season here,
Have done about 20 games so far, have 9 more scheduled for this week (small tournament). We have had a slew of rainouts and we usually get more as teh season winds down. Around here, the rains come through in mid afternoon and then dissappear but the fields are usually shot after about 10 minutes of rain.

I have had almost 50 games so far in NC and VA. We are going hot and heavy with the makeups now. 5 dates this week and 4 nest plus sat and sun.
I can't imagine living where your season doesn't start until this time of year.
