Coaches are allowed three defensive conferences and the pitcher must be removed on the fourth?

Does the counter reset? Now that there is a new pitcher Does the coach have three more defensive conferences or is he/she done for the game?

Extra innings - one per inning. On #2 does the pitcher have to be replaced?

1. Yep, pitcher removed on Number 4 and ANY SUBSEQUENT conferences.

2. counter doesn't reset...3 per 7-inning game. After that, remove the pitcher.

3. #2 conference in OT, yep, she's removed.

Preventative officiating can solve most of the potential problems with this...catch the coach before he crosses the baseline for the fourth conference and remind him if he takes it, pitcher needs to be removed...Remind coaches after conferences 1 and 2 that they have 2 and 1 more conferences before pitchers must be removed.
