One of my fellow umps sent this to me.

"When having to make a call on a tag at 3rd, after
hustling to get there from home plate, my former
partner rang the runner out with a big overhand call.
The runner looked up and said, "you've got to be
kidding." My partner replied, "I didn't run 60' to
call you safe!"

The only ejection (actually a "restricted to the bench") I had in school ball this year was on a called third strike. Batter turned around and said, "You're f'n jokin?"

Mr. Calm here waited up the first base line for the coach to come across the diamond from the 3B coach's box. I informed her -- very quietly -- she needed a sub for #23. She very quietly asked me why, and I very quietly told her what happened.

She inserted #5 into the game.

Next inning she comes out and is trying very hard not to laff.

"I asked her what she said to the umpire, and she told me verbatim what you had said. I told her she could not curse the umpire like that, and my player said, 'I did not curse the umpire. I just told him he was f'n jokin.' I had to explain that that word is a curse word and she said, 'Even when I use it like that????'"
