Since Joel's site was taken down by eteamz, I posted a suggestion on eteamz that we set up an umpire's site there (since eteamz provides free web hosting) and that we set it up with multiple admins for the site from amoung some of the umpire web board regulars (so the site can be maintained even if one or more of us have to "drop out" for awhile).

I've set up a trial site here.

Check it out and let me know what you think. The only sections with content right now are Handouts and Links.

Also, let me know if you would be willing to help maintain the site.

Looks good and specific. Suggest adding link to Line-Up Management from http://www.cactusumpires.com.

Contact me from profile to assist in management.

Chuck - you should be set up.

Scott, to set you up you need to somehow get the following to me:
o your real name and
o your email address that you used to register with eteamz

You can get this to me several ways...

o Publicly post it (not what I would do)
o Send me an email (if you have my email address)
o Send me a private message using the eteamz message feature
o Go to the Softball Umpires site and request to be a member (I'm not sure exactly how to do this, but that is what Bagman62 did.)

Let's see...I am not about to publicly post this info. I don't have your email address. I will go to eteamz and explore my other options. Maybe Bagman62 will tell me how he did that in the meantime.

Skahtboi
Once you are logged in to an ez board you are loggged into all. Go to login and enter username and password, if not then register as a new member on the ezboard

Thanks Bagman. I just opted for the private message option.

That would be nice (emphasis on would), but chat and message boards are not included in the free service. They appear to be included because eteamz gives a new web site 1 week of free "Plus" services, but unless you sign up to pay ~$50 per year, those go away.

I'm not up to paying that myself, nor am I up to trying to collect a "shared" cost.

The site does provide for on-line fund raising, but I'm not up to being the treasurer for such a thing. If anyone wants to take this on, I'll gladly relinquish my "Head Webmaster" role!
