I just received my NFHS newsletter. On page 11 it shows an umpire supposedly signally obstruction. Where did the writers get their information from? The picture shows the umpire with his RIGHT arm out to the side. Maybe they are using mirrors. Dave

Sometimes the "reverse the image" because it looks better on the page. Any writing on "blue" uniform that is backwards?

No, you can clearly see in the figure that the umpire is facing you and it is definitely his right arm that is out to the side. Dave

Maybe that ump is a hoops ref. We use either, which ever is closer to the table.
What does a straight-out right-arm/fist mean?
Shucks, I didn't know there was a difference.
