MSBLUE,
The only 1 pitch tournaments that I've ever known about were Men's SP in USSSA. Have you tried their website? Check then for your state's site. Do the same with ASA, NSA, or whatever is the most popular in your area. Good Luck |
I played in some one-pitch tournaments back in my younger days in my hometown. The umpires were town volunteers, so there were no game fees associated with it. As for the rules, everyone got one pitch, regardless of the result. The run rule was 15 after 3 and 10 after 5, with no time limit. FYI, these games will take barely over a half-hour anyway. All other rules apply.

Ive coached and been the blue in a lot of of these (volunteered). They are a blast, as everyone comes to the plate to hit.

Another thing to remember about these tournaments are that they go by quickly. We were able to do an 8-team double elimination tournament in one day on 2 or 3 fields (I forget how many we had).
Another variation a friend of mine told me about was using the carpet behind the plate as well. I've posted a new thread about carpet ball tournaments in case someone has some feedback. |
