I know this was discussed somewhere within the last year, but now I'm in the market for a couple of new ASA shirts and I have to express my displeasure in their merchandise. Over the last three years I've bought five ASA manufactured shirts and all but one have had a major colar problem. After just one or two washings the left collar starts drooping a good two inches lower than the right one. I think it looks pretty crappy so I either buy a new one (same thing happens) or I sew the collar down to compensate (only slightly less crappy). Anyone else have this problem? Or is it just my bad luck?

I've bought Cliff Keene for my Fed and other work and I think it's a better product. I'm considering buying a couple and having the letters embroidered on ( something a seller across the border in PA says the organization there does for all it's members). Anyone ever do this? Would the logo go above the pocket?

I don't want to go the long way around on this but the ASA-made shirt makes me look like a clown.

I have not had any problem with the collars on any ASA shirts. What I have found is that the sleeves tend to be shorter on the ASA shirts - short enough that the end of the T-shirt sleeve will show. I prefer the Cliff Keen shirts, too.

I haven't had any problems at all with the ASA shirts. No collar drooping or anything. While the sleeves may be shorter than the Dalco (for the record) shirts I use for high school, they are not so short that the sleeves of my t-shirts show as Steve mentioned.

The ASA shirts seem OK to me. I use Honig's for HS ball. The two are about the same, as far as I can tell (except for the obnoxious "Honig's" name embroidered on the back just below the collar - bah!).

The only issues I have with the ASA shirts is the buttons turn pink (according to Mike, due to the detergent) and the collars seem just s bit too short (hard to keep down).

That seems to be the main problem, the collars. After
awhile, they began to look tacty. I have mostly LoGo
Athletic, but they don't make them anymore, so I am told.
Also have Dalco Athletic I purchased at Academy..They
are slightly shinier, but wear real well. The price was
nice, 22.00.

After thought: My cream, red, black,& dark blue are all
Honigs. They wear well, but as Tom noted, they have that
label.

The only issues that I have with the ASA shirt are that the sleeves are too short and my buttons turn purple after a couple of washes. I use the Cliff Keen shirt for Fed ball and haven't had any issues except that I've only worn them two times this year. The weather is absolutely terrible around here. Nothing but rain for the next two days. :(

When the ASA shirts came out a few years ago, the collars were a problem...at least for me...but not anymore. The newer shirts are fine.

I use Honig's for HS ball...Indiana requires their logo on their shirts, and there are only a few places in the state that have permission to sew the logo. I've noticed the Honig's shirts run smaller and the sleeves are tight.

I still have four LOGO shirts I use for college ball, and they are great. I really like them because the sleeves are long and the shirts are long.

I have the Plus POS nylon mesh, the Dalco blend & polymesh, & of course the ASA issue poly mesh.
BY FAR the Dalco is #1 with me. They have the mesh & they have a poly/cotton blend in navy only. I am a portly buid and the Dalco is fuller cut in the torso and plenty long enough.
