Scenario: Va HS fast pitch softball - Pitcher A pitches in the first two innings and the score is 2/2.
The team scores 5 runs in the top of the third inning, score is now 7/2.
In the bottom of the third inning, Pitcher B goes to the mound and pitches in the entire third inning and the remaining game ending in the 5th inning with a score of 20/4.
Who is the winning pitcher, Pitcher A or Pitcher B?

With all due respect, most umpires don't care as long as one team has one.

There may be someone on here which could give you a Fed answer.

My best guess would be Pitcher B.

I don't have the book, but I would have to say based on general rules of scoring a winning pitcher has to pitch at least half of the scheduled game, otherwise its first pitcher to pitch following the starter assuming that pitcher enters with or obtains a lead while pitching and the lead does not change hands. So by me its got to be pitcher B.

NFHS Rule 9, Section 6-6a states that the starting pitcher has to have pitched the first four innings or more and the team is ahead when the pitcher is replaced and it holds the lead for the remainder of the game.

Since the starting pitcher only pitched 2 innings, credit Pitcher B with the win (assuming she pitched the remainder of the game).
